I had too much fun with the hair on this alien sketch. That and long eye lashes make it quite comical. At first it reminded me of an alien rock star, and I went down that path for a bit, but eventually the character became clear to me. Harlisimo, Defender of Margderok, Chief Warbonder of Camerak and hero of Perimeter Gulch.
Not that I know what any of that means… But it’s on his resume’, and with hair like that, I’m not gong to ask questions. I mean the hair could conquer a planet on it’s own, it’s a very serious doo. If it and Heat miser got together we could all be in some serious trouble.
Christian Hammer is a Jack of all trades and I like to think of myself as a modern Renaissance man. I have worked in nearly every creative field, from comic books to medical illustration, And have a classical Fine Arts education (BFA).
I am an artist, inventor, cartoonist, illustrator and Serial Entrepreneur who loves to help other people find their own passions in life, and strive to reach their goals.
This blog serves two purposes, it houses my sketchbook and portfolio and is meant to demonstrate technique and process in sketching, drawing, painting and digital painting. If you ask nicely I might even post some of his secret Photoshop tricks.
