I broke out the sketchbook again last night for the first time in several weeks. I have instead been spinning my wheels in Painter 11 and Alias Sketchbook. It was nice to get back to the analog world for a night, if for no other reason than to get something into the world.

The head of this thing is fun, the rest is rough at best. I also had a bit of fun with the head on the lower left, not sure where that one was going.

I have been super over stressed with projects recently and have not had the time to do any of my own projects because of it. I plan on entering a contest this month, the topic is “Gothic Beauty”, boy do I have many ideas for this one. The main one I keep coming back to is a slight up angle shot of a Gothed out girl doing a pin-up pose, leaning on an old gothic cathedral.  Hopefully I will have time for it. Several other paintings still in the works and I hope to have them on this site soon.

On a completely un-related topic. We have recently switched away from HughesNet for our internet service out here in the Boondocks. We now have DSL, almost like we live back in town. However for Television if we were to get service I found a great deal on Direct TV. We have been without Television for the past 2 years, it is nice, however I am tempted. We had great service with DirecTV when we lived in town, and I do very much miss the Discovery Channel, TLC, Science Channel and a few others. At $34.99 a month I am seriously tempted to get DirectTV again… This will take some thinking.
