I briefly did a comic strip based on a bunch of airsoft players called Multicampers. As with any comic or cartoon the first thing I try to do is a sheet with all of the main characters and any significant props.

So this sheet has head-shots and a few poses as well as a wide variety of airsoft props. This makes it easier to create strips fast. It also helps me get to know the characters a little bit.
