On occasion I like to sit down and come up with cartoon characters, if nothing else it represents a nice change of pace. This change of pace often is a result of my complete lack of anything else working that night.

This first page here represents a very simple style for me. In fact it is a radical departure from my typical cartoon style. And consequently I really like it.

I am picking up what I can from a friends style who I have always admired. Kasey has a great very iconic style, that I fell in love with.

This second page was clearly me playing around with this newly discovered style and seeing what types of basic characters I could create with this style.

The central girl figure is one that really caught my attention and I probably tried to better design here several more times on the pages that followed.

And this last page is me just breaking out the sharpie and designing toon characters in the way I normally work.
